A Warrior's Heart

A warrior’s heart is a cup filled with tears.
One more and it will overflow.
And I have believed now for several years
That these tears were tears of Sorrow
From compassion felt for the endless play
Of the world’s sufferings and confusions
That the warrior by code and sword must allay
All living beings of their delusions
But today as the cup of my heart emptied out
Leaving it open, sincere, renewed
Revelation! These tears are neither sorrow nor doubt
These are tears of Gratitude!
For this one precious birth and this one precious day
Just to be of some service and this thought relay
